Ready to Board

Well of course Denny and I, looking as suspicious as we could, were both pulled over to have our carry ons inspected. And this is in Birmingham. Not very reassuring considering where we are headed. We passed and didn't have to throw out anything. Whew! Our flights were on time and very uneventful. Princess rep met us took us to shuttle bus and deposited us at the Embassy suites. They went by the port and took several people to board the Island Princess for a trip to Panama Canal and on to Alaska.
After checking in, we went and bought our wine and then went out and set by the pool until our friends arrived and enjoyed the free managers reception :) Once our friends arrived we headed out to dinner at the South Port Beach Raw Bar where we joined about 30 others. Lots of fun and laughter. Met a couple who are Auburn alums and he currently is a professor at TCU. Sure didn't act like a professor;) so much fun!
Came back and went immediately to sleep.....almost missed the free bkfst. Which was lovely. Princess has picked up our luggage and we are waiting on shuttle.
Can' wait to board that beautiful ship, unpack and watch land slip away as we begin this great adventure.
