While having our morning coffee, 4 or 5 whales put on a show for us. A lot of people were on their balconies enjoying the show. Michael and Edwina had a tour to Waimea Canyon ( the Grand Canyon of the Pacific). Denny and I were off to explore on our own. We took the shuttle to Anchor Cove and walked over to the Marriott Resort. They have a beautiful 5 acre botanical garden right in the middle with a lagoon and waterfalls. So pretty. Then we took another shuttle to Hilo Hattie's for some shopping in Wailua and went into the local Wal-Mart. They have a lot of souvenirs there as well. Our shuttle took us thru the little town of Wailua so we were able to see some of the island. M&E were back and we sat out by the pool for a while. No one was up for a big dinner since we ate lunch so late, so we decided to jus grab something and watch the Movie Under the Stars tonight. Princess cruise line has a feature called Movies Under the Stars where they have a HUGE screen over one of the pools. I had a hamburger, everyone else did the buffet.
They passed out warm blankets, pop corn and cookies and milk, we all settled in to watch Gravity. Crazy movie! Back to room to rest up for a big day on Maui in AM.Whales put on a show again as we pulled away.
