After checking and rechecking the room we left at 10:30 to drive to the port. Rain had stopped and it looked like we might have a good day.
When we arrived at the port, Michael and Denny dropped us and the luggage off and went to park the car. When they returned, we checked in and sat till the ship announced they were ready for boarding around 12:10. Yippee!
Our stateroom was ready so we dropped off our carry ons and headed to the pig trough (otherwise known as the buffet). When we returned, my luggage and Michael and Edwina's was there. After unpacking it was almost time to go to the muster station for our lifeboat drill.
Back in the room we had a drink waiting for sail away. In the meantime Denny got his suitcase and got unpacked.
We went up to the Lido deck for sail away. The weather had cleared. Port Everglades is a beautiful place to sail away. Beautiful homes and condos and people waving good bye to us.
After sail away it was time for dinner as it was about 5.
We all took our gifts from Sharon and Walt (bottles of wine) to the dining room and it was soooo good. Thanks Sharon and Walt. For our entrees we all had prime rib and I have to say it was one of the best meals ever!
Leaving the dining room we headed to the theatre to get good seats. There was a dance #, an introduction to the ship by the Cruise Director and a really funny comedian named Scott.
After that we headed to the casino to make a donation, then off to bed. Hopefully tomorrow I will start to be able to add pictures.
Life is good and we are blessed!
