I will report on our cruise which turned out to be a guided tour of the walled city and then we were left on our own for 2.5 hrs. It was a beautiful city with colourful homes, narrow streets, large plazas and some wooden mahogany balconies dating back to the 16th century. The balconies were overflowing on most balconies with bougainvillea and they have contest every year to determine the house with the most flowers. It is a UNESCO town which means restoration must be exactly as records and history have documented.

We also drove by the old Fort built in the 16th century for a photo op.

We did a LOT of talking and to say we were hot and tired is an understatement. However, Cartagena, Columbia is a beautiful modern city and was very impressive. We were only 9 degrees from the equator and had 87% humidity. It was hot, hot, hot!
When we returned to the Port they had a gift shop with a very real replica of a rain Forest where we saw parrots, macaws, Toucans and monkeys in a zoo like environment.
Below are some of the pictures....with a lot more later.

It was a great day. Dinner in the dining room and bed......Panama Canal tomorrow and it starts Very Early, but Life is good.
