We had an unbelievable experience today. We hiked the cliffs of Lizard Peninsula! It was a 3.5 mile+ hike up and down VERY steep and Very narrow trails. Some trails were around 12" wide with very steep drop offs. Yes, I was terrified. The views were breath-taking. Four in our group decided to turn back. The trails were gravelly, slippery and very treacherous. We had no idea when we signed up what we were in for today.
We tendered outside of Falmouth harbour, then took a bus for a beautiful ride thru the countryside. So nice. The little town of Lizard Peninsula is very quaint. Has several thatch covered houses and a neat little town....specializing in Cornish cream and ice cream.
After our hike we had lunch in town and then drove back to the harbour where our tender ride back was like riding a thrill ride at the carnival.
We are meeting the Richardsons for dinner at the Crown Grill Steakhouse. yum!
Tomorrow.....PARIS on our own;)
Love and miss you all. I have so many pictures....
